London Free Map? Well the basic concept is that a collaboratively produced map of London is put together ( presumably by volunteers, but if I was still in London I would volunteer - I used to spend hours walking around East London and the rest of the city).

Now this would be very helpful for local authorities as they would not have to pay anything to anyone for their maps - including the Ordnance Survey. Interesting concept isn’t it, everyone having joint ownership of intellectual property instead of a few people having total control of it. A collaborative approach to the production of material things and intellectual property which works to the mutual benefit of everyone, rather than to selfish and greedy entrenched corporate interests.
