New Years resolutions - ha ha! My mind has gone a blank with e-government, data, information, knowledge…wisdom even. So have decided to attack my New Year’s resolution which is to melt the two stone of fat I seem to have acquired.

Ever since I stopped working in Newham Council I’ve stopped cycling to work. I used to enjoy the cycle from Clapton to West Ham along the River Lea .

Round One: Danny Budzak vs spare tyre. A brisk 20 minute run up a steep hill and out of town. It is very dark up there. But a great night for star gazing .

I am now back at home dripping with sweat and cursing every cigarette I ever smoked. This really is another resolution. I am going to follow the example of Dave Winer , although hopefully without the heart disease that made him quit…
