I thought I’d add a new category called ‘internet’ as this is a wider subject than e-government. I get the feeling that some things are being labeled e-government when they’ve got little or nothing to do with government, but a lot to do with the internet and the impact it’s having on social, political and economic structures (to a greater or lesser degree).

I think sometimes this confabulation between e-government and internet can maybe make it seem that e-government is more far reaching than it really is (although I do think the term electronic service delivery does work).

Nor should the internet be confused with technology, although it is increasingly a key part of technologies.
