Ok, so we have home office, we work remotely - but how do we get to meetings?

In the past four days I’ve been on six separate trains, one was on time, three were more than ten minutes late, one was 30 minutes late and one was nearly an hour late. These were in all different parts of the country and could constitute a random survey. On this basis, over 80 percent of trains in this country, based on these results, are late.

Ten minutes might not sound much but when it means missing a connection and then having an hour and a half wait until the next train it is pretty d*mned irritating. Today for example I’ve spent over two hours in a railway station on different legs of a journey.

I am deeply pessimistic that an advanced industrial country that can’t provide a functioning rail network is going to be able to deliver a digitally networked economy.
