If nothing else, this blog acts as a good reminder-notebook for me. Staring out of the window I’ve been thinking about the difference between the academic world and the internet and local government and the internet.

One feature of academic sites is that there is often lots of personal pages of people connected with the institution. This will often give a photo, background, CV type stuff and interests of the person.

Make note to self to see if any local authorities are taking this approach to publishing personal information about staff.

I also need to remember to look at e-government and wikis.
