democratic internet access…?
Up late last night reading the Linux cookbook and exploring some of the urls it quotes. One of which is the Dillo project .
I liked the look of the birthday cake which took me to these three ambitious goals of the project
* The democratization of internet information access.
* Personal security and privacy.
* High software efficiency.
The author then goes on to say:
“Although the first objective looks too big to undertake…” !!!
..that doesn’t mean it’s not a goal worth pursuing…so good luck with the project and when it’s not so late I’m going to read some more about it.
One feature I do like is the ‘bug meter’ to help ensure standards compliace. I like this a lot. An e-government standards ‘bug meter’ would be extremely useful (as would an e-government b*llsh*t detector but that’s at least three other projects).
