wi-fi rip off
being someone who travels around it’s handy to be able to get wi-fi access to check email etc. However, I’m increasingly feeling this is too much of a rip off. I’ve tried to use T-Mobile - yes, I have to say it, in Starbucks - twice I’ve bought blocks of time only to not be able to access it again on a second occassion. Part of the problem is the lengthy codes, but even when I’ve cut and pasted codes in, no result - consequence, paying again.
Today I spent about an hour trying to get to use wi-fi on the train only to repeatedly get ‘timed out’ browser message after submitting c-c details and so on. When I finally did manage to get in to my email, I found I’ve been charged for three separate amounts.
Not only is wi-fi expensive, connecting to it is made more expensive by things like this.
Next time I’m on the train I will stick with my book.
And email can wait.
so there.
