Have now added new category of ‘mobile phones’. It’s interesting to watch the category list being developed as I add content, at some point I will try and do some analysis of this.

On another note, am doing some research on the use of telephones and found this articles which I will park here for future reading http://www.text.it/mediacentre/default.asp?intPageId=672 . Research suggests that in at least one area, are more likely to respond to text messages than letters.

Which brings me on to the reason for this post. Again, I’m struggling to find key data on the web. I’m trying to find hard information about the comparative costs of contact or access channels with a local authority. I have seen figures from SOCITM which suggest that face to face transactions are about £7.50 while internet transactions are 1p. I need the hard evidence but I would very much like to see the methodology behind this as well….
