inappropriate thought?
Have decided to spend my lunch hours where possible running or cycling. Never dither when faced with a dirt track with muddy ruts, brambles and the possibility of a thin narrow alternative track. I am still picking thorns out of my arms and hands.
Had a long drive up from Somerset to Nottingham on Tuesday and we got talking about various things including classification and the new fangled ISPV. I’m still unclear as to what the benefits of the merger of LGCL and GCL actually are, and particularly with throwing seamless in. We now have a ‘list’ which I find from my own use to unweildy and too big.
The other issue I’d like clarification on is sustainability. I remember seamless being criticised in some quarters because local authorities had to subscribe to the service (but this meant it could be maintained). I thought that a poor criticism indeed and at the time argued for the seamless sustainability model.
What now for IPSV given the emphasis from the ODPM On ’sustainability’ (which must mean getting some money from somewhere)?
I’m probably yards behind the time with all of this stuff, (see yesterdays post about Google), but if anyone knows the answer I’d like an update.
