Ha! The answer to yesterday’s grief with ‘windows installer’ is to use FIREFOX.
The problem seemed to be happening when I was using Internet Explorer to browse to Lotus Notes. For some reason I just assumed it wouldn’t work in a different browser. But it does. No more problems.
Danny, there is even an extension to firefox that allows you to load ie *within* firefox for those dumbf*ck web developers who produce browser challenged sites, Go to https://addons.mozilla.org/extensions/moreinfo.php?id=1419&application=firefox
