It’s clear that entire volumes could be written about ‘efficiencies’ and ‘inefficiencies’.

I’m trying to install a scanner. Not a particularly difficult thing to do one would think. Except I’m getting a re-run of the most irritating ‘windows installer’ issue. I see the monopolists at Microsoft (funny how the free market doesn’t apply to them isn’t it?) have a blog called ‘The Tao of Windows Installer’. Sorry, there’s no link as I don’t want anyone else to have the pain of trying to understand what it’s all about.

I’m keeping a tally of how long it’s taking me to sort this dumb problem of ‘windows installer’ out. Three hours so far.

Lets start the number crunching…how many hours X every council X every crappy bug caused by MS poor software performance?
