rivers
Spent most of the day in the River Rede near West Woodburn - and I mean in it - splashing about - a whole group of us went up there for swimming / barbeque / paddling dinghy / enjoying the sunshine. I will post some pictures when I get the laptop back online.
Infrastructure:
There’s a Victorian post box in the village from which it’s possible to post a letter to anywhere in the world.
Remnants of the railway system are still visible.
Arched stone bridge across the river with an inscription from 1795.
Wagonways are also still visible.
Residents today have access to the national grid which guarantees standard voltage across the country.
Water services.
Gas services.
Would very much like to know if there is broadband internet access up there and mobile phone coverage - I could have tried my phone but it really was one of the last things to think about up there.
