Government websites don’t meet standards
The use of standards should help with efficiencies. Unfortunately, once again, the rhetoric from government is different to the reality. Earlier this year, a study showed that over 60% of central and local government websites don’t meet accessibility criteria.
Now however, we can simply avoid using those sites by using this new facility from Google, which sorts the search results in order of accessibility .
It’s not worth asking why no-one in central government thought of this - we all should know the answers to questions like that by now.
