Could you eat a cow that blogged?
I’ve been catching up with my reading of back copies of computing and came across an article about IBM research. One of the projects they’re working on is ‘blogjets’ - effectively a blog generated automatically by sensors.
‘This is a device or object that will create its own blog about its life….for example, a sensor tagged cow would ‘write’ a blog detailing its movements around a field, when it went for milking, how much milk was produced, where it was produced and so on, based on the interaction of sensors and readers. The same could apply to inanimate objects such as a transport container’

This is an abstract question; but doesn’t this sort of humanise the object? And in this case, the cow. Would people be more or less willing to eat an animal whose blog they had been reading?
