Phoned the bank this morning to check something. Finally, after what seemed an age, I got through.

‘Is there something wrong with your systems? I’ve been waiting about 15 minutes to get through’.

The reply came back sharp and clear:

‘The longest call wait we’ve had this morning…(pause)..is three minutes and fifty seven seconds’.
