Went cycling yesterday to help with a sponsored ride to raise money for Comic Relief. The first three quarters of this were along the river valley and then some gentle dale like contours. The last bit, however, involved a very long climb up a very steep hill. Deciding to then take a short cut, we went off road and up and even steeper footpath which involved pushing the bikes at what seemed like a 90% angle.

This was the view, not quite from the top. What a worthwhile effort though - the scenery once we got there was stunning.
