At last ! internet access after three days without - the true nature of the dependance on electronic media becomes apparant.

It occurs to me that rather than writing reports, everyone should just keep a blog at work of what they do. This would be much more effective because:

- nearly everyone can write reasonably well in an informal conversational style, and make their points clearly (compared with many reports were people fall victim to pseudo-legalise)
- throwing in a few personal details helps to get to know the person (I went to see La Chinoise last night - all other Godard fans instantly light up)
- blogs are strangely addictive - and revealing
- it’s easy to scan through a blog
- it can be a complete record
- it gives cyber slackers a fantastic excuse - no sorry, I have written the data migration strategy yet - I’ve been updating the blog you told me to write, revealing interesting personal details and describing what I do at work all day.
