‘Blairism’ has entered the language as a category to describe….? what exactly? But here it is - Blairism in action (and how much it reminds me of John Major)

Choice? ‘amazon’ style feedback on hospitals? eBay like comments? The man is in danger of becoming a moron. Instead of long term planning, we get policy ruled by soundbites.

Here are two paragraphs from the report:

“Meanwhile, people could be told the cost of, say, a visit to the GP, in an effort to make them “more prudent” in their use.

And, university students, who may believe their fees pay for their education, could be informed of the total cost of their course at the beginning of each year”.

Yeah - and there could be regular emails and SMS messages to everyone who asks for them on the costs of EDS and BT on NHS projects. We could be sent a text message of the true costs of PFI. Or maybe updates on how many weapons of mass destruction Iran has. Or maybe the daily rate being charged by KPMG and Deloitte as management consultants on the NHS.
