I’m trying to work out what sort of relationship there is between spending on ICT infrastructure - networks, desk top PCs, software - and the amount of money then spent on an intranet.

In the example ( a real one) I’m working with, there’s about £4 million that can be identified with hardware and software - and about £40k - that’s right - £40k that can be identified with intranet development *and* maintenance.

Ok - so the PCs, software and infrastructure aren’t just used to access the intranet - but is the line of enquiry valid?
