Spent 20 minutes browsing in bookshop yesterday. Really taken aback by the number of books about websites. Not books about the culture and technology of the internet - but books about websites.

This reveals something. I’m not quite sure what. The poor quality of google? The fact that google seems to have no competitors? The feeble attempts to organise internet content in an interesting and useful way which encourages serendipity? The fact that huge amounts of web pages can be adverts? The fact that everyone and their dog contains to produce content poor directories, all leading to the same poor quality data.

Books about website. Who would have thought.
