Google: how fair is advertising?
Throughout our society, people talk about ‘fair play’ a ’sense of justice’; ‘common law’. People generally have a sense of what is right, what is wrong and what is fair.
So it’s interesting to see tucked away in the business pages of the
FT today that the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission is starting litigation over the way Google presents paid for advertising and, well, results that are generated because they might be the most relevant, rather because a company has parted with envelopes of cash in brown envelopes.
