email overload? Shoot the spammers
First time I’ve had a chance to log in to email for four days. I nearly managed it yesterday at Liverpool Street station but just as email was about to load… the battery conked out. I’d forgotten to plug in during the day.
In the background of the past couple of days I seem to be picking up some stuff in the media about email overload - article in the Observor on Sunday and then page on BBC website.
Ok, maybe this is a no brainer; but of the 71 emails waiting in the in-box at least 60 are crappy spam; bigger p*n*s (what than the person who sends these things?); Royal Bank of Whatever asks to confirm password (yeah right); Here’s an ‘e-postcard’ (or is that a virus in your pocket?).
What a load of tosh. It needs to be said over and over again, this is not a technical issue, it’s a commercial one. If the Chinese government asks Google to censor then Google can censor.
