Monday morning meltdown
Considering the differences in time and space, yesterday’s catalogue of technical problems was quite impressive.
8.15am - car won’t start
Decide to get train to catch train to London rather than try and make care work.
Train to London is over an 1 hour late and jammed with people
Wi-fi at British Library not working - problem with provider
Try to pick up wi-fi at St Paul’s churchyard - problem with laptop. Something I’ve never seen before, the cursor keeps rolling up and down the screen and won’t respond to either touch pad or mouse.
Give up.
19.05 - catch train from Liverpool Street towards Clapton
19.07 - said train stops for the next 30 minutes because of ’signalling problem’
Friends I stay with are both sick in the middle of the night with a bug.
The kitten also disappeared for 24 hours but he was returned this morning by a lad who said he keeps following him to school everyday.

Latest wi-fi spot; sushi bar opposite Bishopgate Institute. Now this is good; better than being in Liverpool Street station. Can drink endless pots of Green tea, stare out of window and sort out emails - and then go over to the library for some serious reading.
