Well following on from yesterday. Why does it happen when there’s a pressing deadline all sorts of other things suddenly have more urgency? Why!?

Rather than get on what I’m supposed to be doing, so far today I’ve:

i) chopped up enough wood to last until next winter

ii) put loads of stuff in the garage that’s been waiting to be put there

iii) fixed a door handle that’s been broken for months

iv) replied to all my outstanding email - in fact I’ve replied to email that doesn’t need a reply and sent emails to people I’ve not contacted for a while

v) ordered a John Fahey guitar book

vi) and searched the internet to find out why so many other things gain urgency when there’s a priority piece of work to do…
