I’ve been checking the national rail site http://www.nationalrail.co.uk/ since 7.30am to check that the trains are running ok to Carlisle and then up to Glasgow. No problems reported in that direction, although it did tell me a tree had come down going to Newcastle.

So I was bit taken aback to get to the local station to be told there have been no trains running in either direction since 8am.

How much effort does it take to update a website? It’s still showing ‘no reported delays’ as I write…
