I’ve got a collaborative workspace project on the go; it’s intriguing. But slightly nerve racking. My conclusion so far is that the biggest issue is the (n)etiquette. My main anxiety - and it has to be said that it is an anxiety- is putting the wrong content in the wrong place…saying the wrong thing; in the wrong way; this web 2.0 stuff is H-A-R-D. Not like talking; where the conversation isn’t recorded and replicated; conversation vapourises - it naturally depricates. Electronic converstations are captured, indefinitely, regardless of their weight or worth. It’s not so much the natural history of destruction as the natural history of digitalisation. The creation of bombers begets the destruction of towns and cities. The creation of data centres begets the capture of everything we say and do.
