What has happened to the concept of ‘Post Office’. I don’t think I’ve been in a post office, or used one for about three years. In the past three weeks I’ve been in three times. Once I waited in a queue for about 25 minutes and this seemed to be the norm. The second time I waited in a queue which went out of the door and down the street and gave up after 10 minutes. And today I went again and waited and waited and waited - simply to buy a stamp and get a letter weighed. I’m all for keeping post offices as part of communities and so on - but it would be useful to have some other way of posting a letter without it taking so much time; or is this deliberate in order to just drive people away muttering about poor service to justify closure?
