paper management
A great of ‘information management’ continues to be ‘paper management’ - regardless of how many electronic systems introduced into ‘office administration’.
I set myself the task about six months ago to run a clear desk and tidy office; to try and only handle paper once (either file or dispose of) and to have organised and managed paper files as well as electronic folders and files.
And it works. Have spent about one hour calculated invoices and expenses and VAT for the past three months. Able to easily reconcile invoices with remittances and bank payments because everything in the right place; and managed to spot and make a correction where I was paid twice for the same invoice.
