I find trying to understand the structure of the NHS extremely difficult and frustrating. Trying to find information even harder.

I’m in the process of a search on ‘guidance on sharing health information’. It feels like endlessly going round in circles and reading how wonderful government policy is and ‘change’ and ‘transformation’ and blah blah blah…but where is the guidance itself?

There really is a need to take the civil service out of service provision and give the control to the front line - including the messages that are sent out. Despite endless conferences where we all heard the same out of touch bureaucrats claim to speak for the public, it seems that after five or so years of electronic government that not much has really changed.
