I’m sure there was an article in the Metro newspaper this morning about Davey Winder; it seems like so long ago. I need some way of recording my own life in detail as my memory is obviously failing. And that led to the Victoria and Albert Museum. The statues across the front of the building are, in this sequence, from left to right:

Hogarth - Reynolds - Gainsborough - Romney - Cosway - King Edward VII - Inspiration - Albert - Knowledge - Queen Alexandra - Turner - Constable - Watts - Leighton - Millais

Well, that’s extraordinary. Three members of the ‘royal’ family in there. Considering their centuries of leisure and intensive education it is, or is not, worth noting that not one of them have made any contribution to the arts, music, literature, design, pottery, sculptor, metal working or any other field of human endevaour.

And from there to John Lindsay’s excellent annual seminar called ‘Let there Be Light’. The implications are still sinking in.

A link to the presentation will be posted in due course. I have tried to link to his FaceBook profile but T-mobile is asking me to prove I’m over 18.
