It’s now all so predictable isn’t? Yet another huge data loss, this time of the records of thousands of criminals. I pondered this yesterday as I went to the Post Office -or what’s left of the Post Office – to pay my annual corporation tax bill. No doubt a big chunk of that bill, that might have been spent on improving schools will now be spent on sorting out ‘yet another fine mess’. And still ‘New’ Labour insist our data is safe in government hands; still they insist they will go ahead with identity cards despite the widespread opposition and no good reason to have them.

What the public might be even more angry about is the huge amount of tax payers money that ‘PA Consulting’ will have taken off the government in the first place. Come on, it’s out of control.
