Books on demand
The kitchen table is covered in photographs, huge sheets of paper, books, glue sticks, pencils and other paraphenalia as I try to work out how to create a thesaurus of local history. As well as wondering if such a thing is possible.
In the process I’ve discovered that books can now be printed on demand.
So…if you’re ever looking for a copy of
Bruce, John Collingwood. The Roman Wall: A Description of the Mural Barrier of the North of England. 3rd ed. London: Longmans, Green, Reader, and Dyer, 1867.
Go to Abebooks and you can pay £8.00 (current prices) for a copy. But the next question is – how does this work and can I print myself a copy?
